This part of my website is dedicated to my solo travels. I discovered solo travelling relatively recently, in 2019, when I decided to row the Vistula river (about 1000 km). I didn't have the assumption that I had to do it alone, but I found that it was virtually impossible to find a companion willing to row a similar distance on similar equipment, at the same time. So I started rowing alone. Now I have become so used to it that it has become normal for me and I get a lot of joy and satisfaction out of it. I even feel that I come back from solo trips calm and internally sorted. I have time to be with myself, to think, to live at my own rhythm. In addition, travelling alone means a lot of new acquaintances and hearing stories, learning about the places I pass from the accounts of the people who live in those places. I have found that when you travel alone, you are open to others, and others are curious about you. People chat, want to help and share what they have.  They are happy to bring water to your boat or share bread. They will tell the history of the area. 

Adventure rowing is not very common in Poland. Bloody Mary was built for me by my husband Krzysiek together with Stillcrazy boat house. I get my knowledge from others who spend time on water - kayakers, inland navigators, yachtsmen and even fishing enthusiasts,  so I will gladly share my adventures too :-)

I have so far posted descriptions of my trips on Facebook (click on the picture above). As quite a few people don't have Facebook, or are moving away from social media, I will gradually add to the blog material and describe the routes.
